This picture was taken at the Barn at Stoneybrooke in Atglen, PA.
During Megan and DJ's portraits on their wedding day, we explored the property of the venue and shot in a variety of places. While I do some traditional portraits of the couple looking at the camera smiling, I mostly create photos that are of the couple in a moment together looking at one another or towards the environment around them.
For this particular image I used a grouping of trees that Megan and DJ liked as a framing element for the two of them. I had them look off towards the Barn at Stoneybrooke's hillside and to just take in all the emotions of the day. It was more of a reflective mood rather than big smiles or laughs which I certainly also photograph. I try to create variety with the emotions in the portrait I take because, we as people, have a lot of different parts of our personalities.
