This image was shot at Vault 634 in Allentown, PA.
In this photo, Sarah is getting her makeup done when the sun decided to start shining through the window. It did not shine the way it normally would and instead it was a thin sliver of light. I thought it was the perfect way to highlight that Sarah was getting her makeup done.
When I am photographing a bride getting ready, I do not usually start taking pictures of her until the hair and makeup is 90% done. That way I can show the story of her getting ready but she still pretty much has all her makeup on. Because a bride is paying for professional hair and makeup, they usually do not want pictures of themselves until hair and makeup is pretty much done.
