This picture was taken at Olde Homestead in New Tripoli, PA.
Debbie and Tom decided to rent an antique Rolls Royce for their wedding day. So obviously it was important for use to incorporate that car into some of their portraits together.
This picture was actually shot during the day but I very much underexposed the ambient light so it felt more like the evening. It was the winter and it was cold enough so we didn't need to actually shoot pictures too much at night. Again, very cold. After underexposing the ambient light, I had my assistant climb into the front of the car holding my flash, and I spot lit them. It looked as if just the light in the car was on and I thought it told a romantic story. I chose black and white because of the antique car.
