I always do a variety of portraits of the couple on the wedding day. Some are more traditional while smiling at the camera, a lot are about the couple interacting with each other and the environment around them, and some are more artistic and abstract.
For this image, I asked Marc and Kai if they liked silhouettes. Kai said he LOVED them and responded much more enthusiastically than Marc! That gave me the idea to show the couples individual personalities through a silhouette and non silhouette portrait. Obviously Kai is in the back and Marc is in the front. I try to use visual metaphors whenever I can.
